Prepare the extra large tea pot, Trusty Intern. We’re finishing this bitch today.

Koori: *pales* Yes, ma’am! *runs out to get the BIG tea pot*

While she’s fetching that, I’ll recap the last chapter. Basically, all that happened is Naruto had a chat with the demon locked inside him where he’s offered to share the fox’s powers if he allows the fox to share in Naruto’s senses, and then Ryu broke the laws of physics with only mild injuries to show for it while our author proved he can’t Google worth a sh*t.

Koori: This thing is heavy. *drags a tea pot almost as tall as she is into the room* We’ll be peeing all night if we drink all this.

Welcome back, trusty patrons, to the second half of S&W:R. Koori hasn’t come back yet, but I wouldn’t put it past her to slip in unannounced at some point during today’s riff. I’ll go ahead and get started after a brief recap since there’s no point in waiting for her to arrive.

Last time Harry-Sue and Ryu-Stu both made the Quidditch team because they’re awesome. Some other students who did not make the team implied that Harry-Sue got the position because she’s sleeping with the team, even though they were present when they watched her wipe the floor with them in try-outs, proving that she won her position fair and square. But we have to have some sort of drama because Harry is a Sue and it’s supposed to add tension, or something.

That’s really all that happened. Let’s get cracking!

Good morning/afternoon/time of day to all you lovely patrons! Welcome back to the next chapter of SW:R, a Naruto-Harry Potter fanfic that fails on so many levels. Last time we met we watched as Jade, a genderbent Harry Potter, overreacted to an assumed slight against her way of life, made a fool of herself, and basically brought disgrace to her village. She cried a bit in an owlery with Ryu, an author insert who is in love with female Harry. Then they went to potions class and got on Snape’s good side. Oh, Team Stu also gets to skip all Defense Against the Dark Arts classes because Lockhart is incompetent. The other Hogwarts students still have to attend, though. Because reasons.

Koori: Konnichiwa! *walks into the office with a jar in her hand*

Oh, hey. I was wondering if you’d be coming back again today. For those who have missed the last couple weeks, this is Koori Umino, a Konoha kunoichi of chunin rank. She’s decided that she’s my new intern, even though I didn’t ask for one.

What’s with the jar?

Koori: This is the home of my new pet leech. Ishi-sensei is teaching me how to care for them. Do you like my jar? I made it myself.

It’s lovely- Wait, did you say pet leech?

Koori: I have named him Hiru.

Doesn’t that just mean “leech?”

Koori: I never claimed to be creative.

Right then. Let’s move along into today’s chapter, shall we?

Hello, everyone! I know I said I wouldn’t be picking this piece of crap back up but Netflix has put the entire Naruto series back on their Watch Now list and I’ve introduced Mr. Lyle to it. Since we’re watching our way through the series, and I’m reading my way through the archives (I’m on Entry 343!), I’ve decided to go ahead and knock the rest of this out. We were halfway done with it when I stopped before, anyway. If you’d like to read them yourself, you can start here.

Before we recap, I’d like to bring in a special guest to help me with this. I don’t do this very often but sometimes it gets lonely in my Library office. So, without further ado, I’d like to introduce you to Koori Umino.

*a young woman sits down next to Lyle. She has long brown hair streaked with white strands, and light brown eyes. She is dressed in standard issue shinobi gear from Konoha and has her Leaf hitai’ate across her forehead in the standard position.*

Koori is one of my OCs, hailing from my KakaIru fanfiction. She is a distant cousin (2nd or 3rd, removed a time or two?) to Iruka Umino and she is a chunin of the Leaf Village, Konoha. To prevent confusion, Koori and I have agreed to keep things to the western tradition of introductions and name usage.

Koori: Hi! *waves* Lyle-sa- MissLyle has filled me in on what I’m supposed to do here. I have no idea what a Harry Potter is, but I hope to be able to help.

Great! Now that we’re settled, let’s recap what happened many, many moons ago when we last visited Ryu’s steaming pile of fail. Harry Potter, who is being played by girl named Jade, grew up as a ninja in Konoha due to her mother sending her into another dimension to protect her from Voldemort. She grew up with Naruto and an author-insert named Ryu. Ryu and Jade can’t keep their hands off each other, they have a jonin sensei named Eight Fruit Tree, and they’ve traveled back into Harry Potter Land in order to learn to be wizards, because apparently wizards and shinobi are interchangeable. They’ve been shoved into the second year of Hogwarts, even though they have no prior wizarding experience. Last we saw them, Jade was pretending to learn how to transfigure beetles since she can’t be bothered to actually learn to do it.

Koori: Let’s do this! Yosh!

You like to hang out with Gai-sensei, don’t you?

Koori: I find his enthusiasm for calisthenics refreshing.

Right.

Good morning, fair readers! I’m sorry for how I’ve been jumping update days as much as a fanfiction plot jumps logic, but my work schedule has changed and, where before it was easier for me to be ready by Tuesday, now it would be impossible. So, here I am back on Saturdays!

Last time we met, we watched as Team Stu was sorted into (surprise!) Gryffindor house by a rather grumpy Sorting Hat that swears at children. Jade-Harry-Sue has been a right prick to everyone but, naturally, they all love her. There was a lot more instances of Harry-Sue and ~~the author~~ Ryu being all mushy faced with each other, I vomited about twelve times, and that’s really all that happened. So, without further ado, I bring you the fifth chapter, simply titled “Back to School.”
